AI agents, meeting notes, research mode and enterprise search built into the Notion workspace, working on your pages, databases and connected apps.
- Agents can create and edit pages and databases directly in the workspace
- Custom Agents run recurring work on triggers or schedules
- Enterprise Search covers Slack, Google Drive, GitHub and Asana
- AI Meeting Notes keep transcripts next to related docs and tasks
- Full AI features require the Business plan, not Plus
- Most useful only if your team already organizes work in Notion
- Workers for custom agent code are still in beta
Inside the Notion workspace, Notion AI is the set of assistant and agent features that Notion builds into pages, databases and search. Rather than a separate app, it works on the docs, wikis and project trackers a team already keeps there.
Notion Agent carries out multi-step tasks, creating or editing pages and databases from a single request, and Custom Agents run recurring team work on a trigger or schedule. AI Meeting Notes transcribes calls and summarizes key points, Research Mode produces detailed reports, and Enterprise Search answers questions across connected apps such as Slack, Google Drive, GitHub and Asana. Smaller tools include AI blocks for drafting inside a page and Autofill, which populates database properties automatically. Workers, currently in beta, let teams write custom code for agent tools and external data sync, and workflows can be switched to a different model provider.
Teams that already run docs and projects in Notion benefit most, because the AI acts on content it can already see and on tools connected to the workspace. Fit note: full access to Notion Agent, AI Meeting Notes and Enterprise Search comes with the Business plan, while Free and Plus only include a limited trial, so a small team on Plus has to upgrade to use the complete feature set.
