Google’s consumer AI assistant, Gemini, is sold through Google AI plans that bundle the chatbot with cloud storage and perks across Google products. Anyone with a Google account can use the free version, and the paid tiers are AI Plus, AI Pro and AI Ultra.
AI Plus provides Gemini 3.6 Flash, Deep Research, limited access to the Gemini Omni Flash video model, Gemini proofreading in Gmail, Gemini Notebook and 400 GB of storage shared across Gmail, Drive and Photos. AI Pro moves up to Gemini 4 Argon and Gemini 3.1 Pro, adds Nano Banana Pro for images, Gemini inside Docs, Sheets and Gmail, Tasks in Gemini, Chrome auto browse, and access to Google Antigravity and AI Studio. Pro also comes with 5 TB of storage, YouTube Premium Lite and other subscriptions, and every paid plan can be shared with up to five family members.
Households and professionals who already live in Gmail, Drive and Docs get the most value, because the assistant works directly inside those apps and the storage alone can justify the fee. Students in the US can qualify for a free year of AI Pro. The trade-off is that the most capable model and the deepest Workspace integration sit on the $19.99 Pro tier rather than the $4.99 Plus tier, and Ultra, which starts at $99.99 per month, is billed monthly only. Feature availability can also vary by country.
